Antiek means “valued for its age” and East refers to “Southeast Asia, with a strong emphasis on India and its historic role in global trade”. Founded by Abha Gupta in 2024, the brand marked its debut with a collection showcased at the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Her Moonlight Drape Blazer’, showcased at the National Wool Museum in Geelong, earned the People’s Choice Award in 2025. The brand draws from her formative years in India, where a background in Textile Design shaped her distinctive approach to handloom weaving.

At its core, Antiek East is a fashion diaspora - a dialogue between Indian and European fashion sensibilities, shaped by history, migration, and identity. It revisits the period of the East India Company, when countless indigenous crafts were disrupted, diluted, or erased. The brand is committed to bringing those crafts back to life not as museum artefacts, but as living, wearable pieces of art. From the fine Khadi cotton of Gujarat to hand block printing from Rajasthan, each garment is carefully made in collaboration with artisan communities across India. Every thread carries the trace of a hand, every imperfection a reminder of something human.
